Department of Bioregion to present at the first Washington State Climate Assembly

Hello Cascadians!

We are excited that the Department of Bioregion is presenting “Fighting Climate Change Must Be Bioregional” as part of the 10-1pm learning session, Saturday January 23rd, 2020 as part of the first ever Washington Climate Assembly.

This event is the first statewide People’s Climate Assembly to be held in the United States, with 80 individuals chosen from more than 4000 to represent the diversity of Washington State. The body will listen, evaluate and create a pathway to fight climate change and better sequester and mitigate carbon from our region. They will be informed by a series of learning sessions which brings together policy leaders, scientists and organizations over the next upcoming weeks.

We are excited to share that the first session of the Washington Climate Assembly starts Tuesday, January 12th at 6pm.
